TRC (The Rowing Channel)
Who are we?
The Rowing Channel (TRC), based in Newport Beach, California, is a big broadcast platform dedicated to providing very high-quality live coverage of rowing to its fanbase, athletes, teams, and families around the world to watch on “trc.live". Our team consists of ex-rowers, engineers, and, of course, videographers with a good eye. TRC combines professional-grade production with real-time timing data to deliver an immersive, front-row viewing experience for one of the world's oldest and most demanding sports.
TRC's coverage spans across the country, broadcasting marquee events such as the Head of the Charles Regatta, the San Diego Crew Classic, and the WIRA Championships in Sacramento, along with dozens of collegiate, club, and community regattas throughout the season. Not only that, but the team has gotten involved in filming Sailing Regattas/events in Newport Harbor, California, as well as doing side projects and professional projects tied in with the University of California, Irvine because of its proximity to campus. Through its proprietary streaming platform, TRC provides crisp, low-latency video and on-demand replays, giving the rowing community reliable, accessible coverage no matter where a race takes place.
Rooted in a decade-long tradition of grassroots broadcasting, The Rowing Channel continues to expand its reach and technology — investing in infrastructure, partnerships, and production quality to elevate how the sport is experienced by fans everywhere.
